Stewart Island - Year 7 & 8 trip

Stewart Island 2015!

Wow! What a trip. On the 30th of April/ 1st of May, the year 7 & 8s were lucky enough to visit Stewart Island.
We left school at 6:00am and set off on our journey to Bluff, here we caught the ferry to Stewart Island. The conditions were very rough over to Stewart Island and this made some people a tad sick. Once we arrived at Stewart Island we collected our luggage and got on a shuttle to the house we were staying at.
After lunch, we set off for an Inlet Cruise to Ulva Island, however due to Miss Mosley not reading the fine print we went to the wrong wharf! luckily they cruised around to the Paterson Inlet to pick us up.
Ulva Island was full of interesting native birds, plants and history that our fantastic tour guide shared with us. We went out for tea at the local pub where we enjoyed some of the local seafood. It was delicious. We all got Coca Cola and raspberry drinks which left us all bouncing off the walls. later that night we settled down and watched a movie while eating lollies and popcorn.
The next day we went for a walk to explore the Island. We went fishing off the main wharf and had ice creams. After that, we caught the ferry home which was a rough trip once again. Luckily no one was sick this time.
We would like to thank the parent helpers Kelly and Warren as well as Miss Ward and Miss Mosley for organising this trip to Stewart Island. Overall we had an amazing time!
